The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at the weekend opened two more laboratories to test for COVID-19.
The laboratories located at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Adamawa, and Acunnalysis laboratory, Nnewi in Anambra State bring to 26, the number of NCDC laboratories nationwide.
The Tweet announcing the new laboratories also noted that three more laboratories were in the works in Katsina, Kwara and Gombe States.
Once the three are completed, the NCDC would have 17 more states to cover before it achieves a national network of molecular laboratories that can test for COVID-19 or any other diseases.
